Hi, I’m Abbey, the founder and principal speech pathologist at Learn & Grow Speech Therapy. I’m passionate about supporting children and families in a way that feels warm, collaborative and strengths-based. 

My Clinical Experience

After graduating with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from Australian Catholic University in 2021, I've provided in-clinic and mobile speech therapy services to children at homes, schools, preschools and childcare centres across Western Sydney. I've had the opportunity to deliver telehealth speech therapy services exclusively for 18 months to children across Australia. Over the years, I've learnt the importance of building a strong foundation of trust, regulation, connection and engagement within every session.

My main passion areas in speech therapy are speech sounds, literacy, early language development and advocating for my client's communication and learning needs in their classroom. I have a strong interest in and experience supporting autistic children and children with ADHD using neurodiversity-affirming approaches that respects each child’s individual strengths, communication style, and way of engaging with the world.

• I’m a mum to one cheeky little boy, so I understand the juggle of family life.

• I’m an animal lover, with two dogs and a cat who love playing together!

• I enjoy baking when I get a spare moment, focaccia and chocolate brownies are my go-to recipes. 

• I’m a Kenthurst local and play for our local women's football team.

• My favourite children's book series is Spot.

• My go-to therapy resources are Mr Potato Head, magnet scenes and anything crafty.
